My thoughts too

My (admittedly one size up) estate is plenty big to deal with wife, two kids, a dog, and all the associated shoite that is attached....

Gareth, even though the bairn wants it, you don't really need to take the garden chute everywhere with you :P

Nice choice.

Volvos (S80's) in the chauffeur drive co I use to work for were very relaible, well built, and reasonably good to drive. 130K miles on the clock of several, with very few problems along the way. Far superior car to the merc 'E' classes they also had.

Far less slagging then a soft roader

if you are going to buy a sports car buy a proper one eg elise/exige/7

If you are going to buy an 4x4 buy a proper one eg defender

if you are going to buy a family car buy a proper one like a volvo

Though we are still going to have a whip round and buy you a flat cap and some string driving gloves
