It's well worth it folks if you get the chance to look. Seen (and photographed) a couple of lunar eclipses and also had the pleasure of seeing the total solar eclipse from France in 1999 (was a chilling almost life-changing experience! amazing!).

While a lunar eclipse is pretty, I highly recommend seeing a total solar eclipse at some point in your lifetime! You will never have seen anything like it! :thumbsup

Where were you? We were in Reims . . . was cloudy all morning but we headed out into the countryside for the eclipse and got a bit of blue sky just in time for totality . . . nice coincidence! 8) Got some damn good photos of it.

It's getting there now. Had a look at it through the binoculars which helped.

I agree it's not that exciting to look at . . . I think it's what's causing it that's more interesting. It's also quite nice for some pretty pictures if you have a decent zoom lense on an SLR camera and a tripod for a long exposure. :thumbsup
