Neil will not be in A8 with the Honda engine.

After 2005 they changed the regs, I may be biased but I think it was to keep me out. He will now be in with the kit cars in A4.

No I hadn't heard that, I did suspect tho' that someone would read the regs and enter something similar, and I did put this point forward when the extra rules stopped tut running in the championship.

Graeme is indeed one of the most committed drivers I have ever met, He'll be hard to beat and great to watch. His tyre choice will be interesting too

It's a real shame that Neil will not have the opportunity to beat him fair and square.

Yeah, that will be something to see.

It will be interesting to compare with my old times (novice driver, standard lardy S2 and Toyo Proxies...).

I've no doubt there is scope for overall championship winning points in that class. It's always the nature of the competition that you'd exploit the newest or least deveoped class.
Dunno what the ultimate in A8 would be with the current regs. Maybe an S/C'd 340R... properly sorted and tweaked 911...I guess the Zonda would qualify (although it's a bit wide for most events).

We'll probably find that S/C will be banned next year...

I do quite fancy a go, however, I think funds will only stretch to a few 'fun nights' at forrestburn this year... must save £s for a se7en.

As usual I'll be pedalling my Green Hoyabusa Se7en to most of the hillclimbs and a few Sprints if we can have a TSE showing. I think we can have a lot of fun this year, I wonder if we could have Ali guest driving again just like the Autotest last Sunday

If anyone wants to borrow my old race suit to take part in the above, they're more than welcome - It's only to FIA86 standard, but suitable for most national club racing, as well as hillclimbs & sprints (Fits 5ft 8 -> 5ft 10 / 42" chest)...Also have a set of FIA2000 Alpinestar boots (size 8/9) / gloves (medium)...Not mandatory, but some like to wear them...

Finally, have a Snell 2000 standard Bell lid (Sport KV1), which again, could be borrowed if required...
