But like I said above, the elise puts out 208gms/km, and the Band G is 225gms/km. I have not looked at my V5 so dont know, but according to a govt website it should say on it.
This article is from last years, but works on the same rules as this years increas (as I have understood it)

Had a look on the DVLA and here is the list:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Ow ... G_10012524
Looks like the Elise/Exige is ok. Had a look at the Top Gear magazine and they list the following:
Elise (presume all Toyota engine) C02 Tax
111 S 196 27%
111 R 209 29%
Exige C02 Tax
1.8 208 29%
1.8 S 216 31%
Europa C02 Tax
2.0 S 220 31%
It does say the Band G (over 225) is for cars registered after 23rd March 2006, lucky for me the Evo is not brand new as it has a CO2 of 334, surprised I have not had Greenpeace protesting outside my garage door
Hope it helps.
Cheers

I just wish, with all the money that is raised through motoring taxes, that they would spend some of it on our F******* roads. It's like playing dodge the pothole these days

Of course it will, not like any Goverment to lie to us innocent citzens. By imposing this in the UK the earth will last for longer. They are only increasing our tax because we cause the majority of the pollution in the planet
I am currently out in Jordon (Amman) and seeing some of the emmisions that the vehicles across here are putting out it will make no difference. Long time since I have seen petrol cars have black smoke coming out of their exhausts.
If cars were killing the planer then fine I would agree with the tax but when we cause a miniscule amount of it, we are just an easy target (Rant over)

Bit like the old hose pipe bans in regions... except for companies who need to pish it away.
