I was but got my own back when I bought the red beastie

I was sold a 111 S2 for dead on 111s price
The car was reged by Lotus (AU reg) I was told it was a PR girls company car. Shame there was a blokes name on the docs  unless he had a sex change :P

Oh almost forgot! First off, I tried to buy Paul Gibsons old blue s2 when he got his 111r from mmc. Was promised first dibs and after having been offered an awful part exchange i came back the next weekend after getting over 2 grand more privately with cash to buy and he/it had already been sold! Was raging! They tried to sell me a lightning blue 111s with a grand off the ask and i told them politely to shove it. Funny enough it is/or atleast recently was still for sale at the original asking price. Then i went south and got a better one for less money.

Looked at buying my first S1 from Ian on Yahoo group, some of you will remember it from the early days, it was the burgunday red colour, with cream leather, it was mint, but being 19, insurance was wicked, and also trying to finance 16k was a little too much for me. Ended going to a twat i didnt like, who ened up selling it less than a year later. Anyone know where it is now, i think it was on an S plate.

Anyway 4 years on I bought the VX, trade price as was working for Mercedes at the time, bought it for 10.5k, X reg, 17k miles, and have just sold it tonight or technically Sunday for £10,300 - Beat that!

I have done over 11k miles in just about 15 months - WHO SAYS THE VX WASN'T THE BEST OPTION!!!!!!!!

I have had an amazing time with the car, and I will have another one, it would be nice to have a Lotus next for a change, but we will see!

Dave - Just about to leave the fold faction!!!

Sorry to see it go Dave, hope it won't be long before you're back in either a VX or an Elise. Are you the new owner woody? If so, hope you'll be sticking around here and hopefully see you on a run or on track :)

Market for VX's seems to have realyl picked up in the past few weeks - loads of newbies coming onto the owners club. Gotta be good news for Lotus guys too.

Woody PM / email me if you are interested in buying a VX and ill see if i can help you (you can't have mine tho   )
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?
