Interesting - I thought the toe link brace thingy was only part of the new 06 Super Sport pack - I don't remember there being any mention of it in the spec for Perferformance Pack. Has your car definitely got one?

Mark
Yup Mark, clearly visible with the undertray off.

I think there are retrofit instructions in the service manual (I'll check tonight). Would be a worthwhile upgrade for heavily tracked cars...

Ali

Do quite like it, and it was a very easy job (cheers Shug and Hambo) :)

Haven't had a chance to take it for a spin, although through Glasgow on saturday and Sunday the roads were really greasy and the A048's were spining a fair bit.

Felt a bit stiffer on the go and could feel a bit more vibration above 80.

Its all good though and looking forward to next weekend, when i get back from business, to take it for a run :D
Andy,
Have you had the the geo done? It should be pretty close (camber) as the ride heights and car weights are similar but I wouldn't be surprised if the toe settings are well out...

I would defo get it checked.

Cheers,
Ali

Toe was in the ballpark (with Dunlop gauges) But I did mention he'd probably want to go for something more extreme to use the 048s better.

I'd be interested in that - fitted my car with a second oil cooler recently, so I am in winter tinkering/upgrade mode...

Incidentally do you have the service manual for the Toyota cars, and if so where did you get it?

Cheers,
Mark

OK shug should be fine then (was that to 111R settings?).
I'd agree that more extreme geo would be in order, even Exige settings... :)

I'll look it out tonight. :)

I have the service and parts manual (couldn't possibly comment where it came from). ;) PM me your address (or email if you can handle 30-40 meg...) and one will surely find it's way in your direction. :)

Ali

Interesting I know of peeps retro fitting and I knew they had started fitting them. Ali when was your car build (does if have the L O T U S on the back or the badge?).
I have the P pack so hopefully I have one. Will have the under tray off in the next six weeks or so so will have to look out for that.

There is a good pick in here

Jamie,
Good pic. :)

Dunno my build date but probably Aug/Sept 06, I have L O T U S.
An eagle eyed owner with a torch might be able to spot it through the rear wheel spokes... ;)

Ali

Ali

Any idea what the geo settings are for the Exige? :?

Might try and get it booked in for alignment next weekend.

Thanks

Andy

Andy,
Same as the 111R except:
Front Camber: -0.3 deg (111R is -0.1 deg)
Rear Toe: 1.5 mm toe-in each side (111R is 1.2 mm)

Not much difference to be honest and the tolerances overlap...

What geo settings did you get set at Plans Jamie?

Cheers,
Ali

Need to try and find the paper work, lost in a montain of it :(
Due to road and track use think the settings are not too agressive although its been droped a far bit. Get a hint of rub on full lock.

Found the info, they are a fair bit more agressive than standard after all.
Plans requested I keep them to myself.
PM if in a good cause of course
