She was even introduced to Loti drivers the other day and is still with me.
The power of the griffin

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

yes indeed... I did go to this thing but only after Laura phoned me today and convinced me to!
summary of the night = I made a complete twat of myself...
Got there at 8pm as requested and there was nobody there... so after wandering around drinking coke and wondering wtf was going on for about 30 mins... a few more folk turned up.
The whole thing kicked off after 9pm eventually.... and one by one the audtions happened. I eventually got to do mine at about 11.15pm... after waiting for over 3 hours in the company of a bunch of 18-21 year old students all getting pissed on the free bar which I couldn't take advantage of coz I was driving.
By the time I got to do my audition... walked in to see 4 very bored looking judges and was told I would have to be very special indeed to stand a chance coz they had seen 100s of folk over the week and nothing I did would be new....
1st Judge was some bird from River City that no one had heard of so she was pissed off and then she asked me if I had a PC... I said yes... and so she said I was a square!?!? Silly bint.
Scott Mills was alright but a bit slow and didn't seem to understand anything I said. Laura's dad didn't like me and thought I was just taking the piss a bit... he didn't believe that I was 100% into his daughter and would do absolutely anything to get her.... funny that!
Laura was nice though. She came round to give me a hand when I was putting my legs behind my head.... don't worry... the photographer got plenty of shots so humiliation on the website will follow no doubt!!!
Had thought about playing the guitar and doing a song... but in the end couldnt be arsed and thought they would have seen that toooo many times.... so just made a twat of myself instead. Didn't think they would have seen too many 30 year old blokes putting their legs behind their head!! d'oh!
Don't think it helped that I called Laura a bit mental and said all women were basically evil in the first 60 seconds either!?!?
Anyway... the bloke who won deserved too and it was pretty obvious he was gonna.... nice bloke who had flown in from Belfast just for the night to do the audition and took his boxer shorts off without removing his jeans.... No way I could compete with that... I'd only driven 10 mins up the road and wasn't exactly as enthusiastic as the rest of them....
Interesting experience but now I'm off to find the shame corner and hide for a while .... and one thing is for sure... that's me done with radio appearances!!! 2 in 2 months is 2 many!!
Cheers!
Dave.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....
