what a waste!

Paul, is this your first elise or have you owned one previously?

I'd recommend getting Rich to go with you - only problem is that he is not local anymore! He done a sterling job in looking at an S1 for me in Manchester!

Had one for the last 6 years, so I can give it a cursory look over and know how it ought to feel on a test drive etc. The spanner check is for fuller peace of mind and to check bits that arent visible without taking stuff apart etc.

Ta for looking out for me, its reassuring, the lotus community are a top bunch :thumbsup

Seemed fecking pricey to me too

Ad says "By Dundee" and the pics look semi-rural, so I'm guessing it's just north of the city

PaulC - Tuesdays & Thursdays I could cast an eye over it (I'm in Dundee) but more from a "seems tidy enough" POV - plus I'm not bad at sussing out whether the seller seems gen or not

Just let me know (& see if you can find out what area it's located)

Its Muirhead.

I know the dealer he bought it off 2 weeks ago and all the details from the dealer and the seller tallies so it all seems gen so far. It is a bit odd to be selling it so soon - he couldnt have smacked it and got it repaired that quickly, but if I dont spot it when I look at it I'm sure Falkland will if I get serious about buying it and get them to pick it over. The seller offered to pay my travel if me or the inspection spot anything at all wrong, so he doesnt seem to have anything to hide. Its not a rock bottom bargain price, but my hire car is dead money at the mo, and I'm up in Leeds and York looking at other cars later this week, so what the hell, might as well keep going north and have a look at that one too while I'm half way there.
