Another Edinburgh Newbie

Post by EliseR » Thu May 31, 2007 11:42 pm

Hi Guys,

Had my Chrome Orange Elise 111R for just under a week now. Absolutely loving it, this is my first car - thought I would jump in at the deep end.

Still a provisional driver, so taking things super easy. If you see me, look out for the L plates

Plan on taking lots of additional training once I pass, Lotus specific.

Anyway give us a toot or a wave if you see me! (Not to mention a wide berth :P )

Here is my car up Arthurs Seat, I digitally enhanced the image:

I'd been driving for 9 years when I got my VX and it still taught (and is still teaching) me a sh*t load about how to drive properly.

I can't imagine learning to drive in one :!:
Are you 17? Fingers crossed that you will have enough experience and respect for the car that you won't do the typical 'just-passed-my-test' thing and go blatting about everywhere. I got away with it in my 1.4 Nova- I'm not sure I'd have been so lucky in a rear drive sports car!

Oh yeah, and I'm very jealous of that as a first car (in fact I'm jealous full stop- what a colour! :thumbsup )
VX220 2.2 - Gone
BMW 335d Touring F31- Fastest car on the road
MINI Cooper 1.5- More fun than the BMW

27, just never had the inclination to get off my arse and learn to drive. Taking it easy, still scared to above 50 or 60 on even the slightest bend in the road, and unless I am on an airstrip like road, second cam san stay away!

I am sure over the coming months and years I will learn to explore the car's cabilities without putting myself at risk. I just need to pass my bloody test to allow me to get some proper lotus training.

Gary.
