To cut a long story short i put my civic into a ditch last night

I wasnt driving too fast but lost the back end on a sharp corner just outside penicuik, I tried to correct it but completely lost it and was sent flying nose first into a ditch
Thankfully me and my GF were ok but it was a real shock to the system as it is the first real smash i have had. Thank god for airbags - im really glad i wasnt in the Lotus for once.
The police said there had been a similar accident on the road earlier that evening so be careful out there guys!!

awww cack mate!! Glad you and the other half are ok.
Don't be so down on the noddy car, I'm sure you would have been just as safe (remember Blaque's post after his crash wehre the Dr said the car saved him from much worse damage!).
Fingers crossed you get the car sorted out, and insurance issues sorted out without too much bother, and hope you're still feeling up for TT

Not good news, like Rolfe says glad no damage to people.
Just be glad the Elise is still in one piece for the summer, and dont let it get you down.

Sorry to hear that.
Did the police pass any further comment about the previous crash?.. i.e. oil spill or something?

Its a company car so I had to tell the boss today but he was cool about it and i should be sorted with a courtesy car tomorrow
I was on my way back from seeing Derren Brown in Carlisle - maybe he used his mind tricks to rob me of my drivng talent - or maybe I never had any in the first place
