I Lotus made planes they would not be passenger planes. They would be ultralights, surely. Unreliable, possibly homebuilds (kit planes). They would use a variety of powerplants.

They would make little sense to onw or buy, but they would have a loyal following as the manufacturer lurched from one disaster to another.
