Addicted?

Post by EliseR » Mon Jun 11, 2007 4:37 pm

I'm sure Lotus use the word ADDICTED on a lot of their recent marketing, and I have to say they are on the money.

My life has more or left stopped since getting the car. I don't want to go home at night, I don't want to come to work in the morning. The console's are gathering dust, the Garden has been abondoned mid project, and all I can think about is where I can drive to next.

This is unhealthy, and I am trying my hardest to ignore the car as I really need to have some "normal time" after work today. Cinema, meal etc. Trouble is, instead of popping along to Vue at the Omni Centre (five min from my work), I am dreaming of a drive to London to catch a film in Leicester Square.

Please tell me I am merely in the Lotus Honeymoon period, and this obsession will eventually subside...?

Gary.

Nope - it won't - get used to it - before long you'll be spending most of your non-driving time on here!

Nope, it never subsides! :thumbsup

I'm sure a lot of people on here will agree that these wee plastic cars can change your life! It definitely has for me. It's turned a car into a hobby. I've met loads of great new friends, been to places I've never been before, done things I've never done before (car tinkering, autotests, trackdays, . . .) and spend as much time as possible in the car! After enjoying Tut Towers so much, I'm thinking of trying to away driving and camping in the car at least once a month for the next few months. 8) :D

The day that feeling subsides is the day to sell the car!

To me it's like living in my very own version of PGR 3 (Computer Driving Game for the oldies), which is a seriously worrying prospect. Driving is not a game, driving is not a game, driving is not a game.

Nope, not working. Just....too...much....fun. Resistence is futile, blah blah blah.

I am sure i will loose my job because of this obsession!!

Ohhhh never let it go away....

Can you imagine (and maybe we should do it for a laugh one week...) unplug the hosting server for SE, ban yourself from SELOC, PH Forum, and see how you get on cold turkey!!!

I am pretty sure there would be some on here who would be a lot more productive, and also in a bad way come day 2!!!!

Er no !! - Would be quite good to have Police livery for getting through traffic -that was a mock up promo Lotus did a couple of years ago for B.I.B- I just kinda like the pic. ( & having just got my car back haven't got any decent pics). Keith

Load of bollocks.

Just spent the weekend nicely tucked up with the tartan rug, slippers, nice hot cup of coco, watching Big Brother and Coronation Street.

Beat that if you can.............
