what a great outing!
After reining myself in on the Saturday to ensure i was ready, and remembered everything, on Sunday I realised I hadn't brought an Archos for in car cam work

FFS
Teeside, or should it be Teesslide!
Got on track for the sighting laps and thought no issues, after changing to very worn AD07's. Then after setting the Nitrons went out.
First bend, feels a touch lively, second bend, sliding under braking followed by tail out, and I'm not trying to provoke this....this is the car that wouldn't understeer just one week earlier!
Anyway, had an awesome first session, spent most of it sideways, eventually spun and came in to check the set-up of the Nitrons. Thought I maybe had too big a difference fron front to rear so adjusted, and we out with Dave....who was delighted to see the over steer in each and every bend was still with us!
Next up was Ed, who again loved the pax, because although not quick, it was becoming highly amusing, and recollections of my last Walshy day with Mckeann came flooding back - although this time i was not having to provoke it! Love the S1
It would have been brutal racing, but with SE'ers around and a gradual realisation that I was not going to be posting any flying laps with no grip, i set about trying to slide my way from bend te bend with amusing results...the camera footage is hilarious, although my hands are not as well sorted as they should be (Mckeann & Walshy thrashed me about that

)
Not sure if people realised how hard it was to drive, but when i went out for a pax with Tut, i realised that it was an entirely different circuit for him, with more than twice the power, but way more grip, corners that had me sideways, his car railed and put down the power...loved the SC!
Shooomer became the next person to take out the S1 for a spin, and pun intended, did so 5 times in 4 laps - love the S1 more when it gets the trackday organiser a black flag! I think Shooomer's tactics went past rough love and more towards violation
On the suspicion that i was being a muppet and setting the Nitrons wrong Dan had a lookat them when he arrived and to my dismay informed me I'd done it correctly.
Oh well - out for another stint on my tod, took GregR out and then Si - both of them left giggling although to crowd watching later informed me that they could see the whites of Si's eyes through the bus stop and in to the left hander, GregR took a new approach and through his hands in the air roller coaster styleee!
Spent a great day practising car control though, and still on my last though - Shed's are the way forward. Drive the ass of it, spin it, try to kill it, it just keeps going, and each day is SO different to the next
Now the prep beings though - more news to follow - the bills are mounting, but there are a fair few changes about to happen to the S1, which i feel has been truly welcomed in to the "rough love" school of motoring
Hope I didn't cause any concern to any of the newbies on track with my antics!
Bring on the next adventure
