To be honest I didn't watch it,(will Iplayer it tonight) I just happened to catch the wooden splitter. felt kinda smug until it went on fire :oops:

At least it won't catch fire on the Liz...

Make it out of Phynol board / Paxolin, much tougher than plywood :thumbsup

Im considering doing this while the car is off the road, can always rip it off and bin it if it looks pish :thumbsup

I have some paving slabs you could use instead of plywood... then you wont have any understeer problems. :mrgreen:

I may also have an old ironing board somewhere, you could bolt it on the rear clam. And to finish things off, I'm sure B & Q sell orange plastic buckets for 99p, get one of them, cut it in half, and you would have instant side scoop extensions :thumbsup

Graeme, why not use polystyrene as it's nice and lightweight, easy to shape, won't catch fire, you can sculpt it to shape easily and it'll not damage the rest of the car when you kerb it :damnfunny

Why not, jj was telling me that all the motorsport cars at Hoffmans were using plywood splitters, fair enough they look sh*t up close.

but surely thats the point... you want it for the looks rather than taking half a second off a lap of knockhill?
