How do Scoobies compare to elises on track? Do you have to move over for them on the straights or can you keep a good gap in the corners?

Depends - some get enough of a gap others don't

It's general very well mannered with folk moving over that don't really need to, just incase they are getting in the road.

We've been invited to the SIDC days for years now, so most folk know how it works.

SIDC days are also great for quelling the bullsh!t factor... You'll see that it doesn't matter a great deal if you've spent 10,000,000 quid on horsepower if you can't drive the bloody thing. This applies both ways. There are some Scoobies that wipe the arse of 90% of the Elises there. It's a great comparison of two very different ways of answering the same question....

At the end of the day, it's all down to the nut holding the steering wheel.....

As you get older, these periods of time get proportionally smaller, youngling......

I think with the scoobies its down to how heavily modified they are, assuming drivers of nearly equal talent, and assuming its dry.

Certainly on a track like KH (short and twisty) you'd need to be up against a really well sorted Scoobie for it to stay with you. Even 2 up the R was passing them down the straight on Friday night.......before it switched to home mode :(

Totally agree with Shug also though----how hard the driver is willing to push it makes the biggest difference if you've got a decently sorted beast --- first time for everything :D

Having a good mix of cars makes for a really interesting outing, with some things you'd expect to be mega quick, not proving so and vice versa. There was a R500 Cossie the other week that just flew, but the Skylines and TVR's at EF were suprisingly slow.

If I turn up on Sat, it'll be for pax laps.

I'm working at Knockhill on sat/sunday all day helping prep the Caterham racers for Ian Cowie Motorsport. (getting some inside info before i shell out my hard earned  ). So be sure to nip along to the Caterham awning and say hello. There is a test day in the afternoon and racing on the sunday. Might be worth hanging about and watching the racers at work. The word banzai comes to mind
