I think this is a better idea, small one's just attract their attention while 'the above' dosn't seem to attract any, in Dundee at least.

just leave the front off, I've had mine off for 3 months now and been past
loads of fuzz as I travel up to abz and back every week, & no problems at all.
I've the plinth & plate in the back, with suitable scrapes on the bottom of the plate as its "just fallen off on those speed bumps, officer" It's not illegal if youve not put an illegal plate on :D

3/4 from fancy plates has been fine for me for year and a bit. Standard font and when i changed to personalised plate standard spacing too.

I think it looks great on the car and when you see mine next to a VX with a standard plate it looks massive.

If the vx forum was working i'd find a pic to show you..........but it's not so i can't

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

On a car legally, yes. It's how SPECS/TRUVELO/Congestion Cameras get their info. It's always been the case that you've needed one though.

They only removed the necessity on bikes when you had those sideways plates on the front mudguard which neatly bisected pedestrians.

there's a nice 0 star rating for the NCAP pedestrian test. 'Significant risk of bisection in a frontal impact.'

Another plates question. If you have the blue section on your plates with the GB and the euro flag, do you still need GB stickers when in europe?? :?
