They're probably trying to get a better standard of cars/driving. Hopefully this keeps the riif raff to the Shed Sunday Days and I might start going to Hot Marques again. Thats if I get let on as I doubt mine is worth £15000.

Hopefully works out for the best.

P.S If it is worth £15000 who wants it ?

Wasn't the previous Hot Marques rule that cars had to be worth more than £10k? There were plenty cars at Hot Marques TDs in recent years that clearly fell a way short of that value... so another rule that Knockhill were/are/will be selectively(?) flexible about.

Kinda rules out taking my 7 to a Hot Marques when a much faster 7 like Kevin's or a similar paced one like Jason's can go on without an issue.

Don't think they have thought this one through very well and it will end up as the status quo.

Quite agree, bit like some of the other initiatives KH came up with in the past. Book a track were talking about running another day at Knockhill while we were at their track day at Anglesey last month but are worried about them coning off the corners or enforcing ridiculous sin bin rules.
I heard the two spins and you're out rule was back again recently, anyone been at one recently to confirm?

I don't think Knockhill have the number of customers or the quality of facility that they can afford to try to be so exclusive.

Few years back now Tut, only 3 from SE turned out for it, Me, Simon I & Stu Pollock.

Was an stonkingly great day - ended up only the 3 of us on track and the marshalls would hold you at the pit lane until the others were close by :D

I certainly got a talking too after one spin and it was made clear to me that if I did it again I was off. I have to say it spoiled it a bit because I really wasn’t pushing I just touched a wet Kerb. After that I really backed off.

I have to say I am getting a bit bored of KH (not that I have mastered it!) but I really enjoy crail for a change with Track Scotland a month or two back. Its made me think that I need to go further afield next year to try some new tracks.

From Knockhill website "The Hot Marques events are for drivers who want to drive their cars on track with like minded drivers. The types of cars suitable for Hot Marques are Porsche, Ferrari, Lotus, Subaru Impreza, Evo’s, etc ", 4 hour session in Feb is priced @ £100.

I'll be going further afield as well. Knockhill is good and its the track closest to me but need a change as been doing it for past 8 years so will be heading down south next year for a few. Also planning on doing LeMan Bugatti track in France in April and defo going back to Spa in Oct for 2 days. Both of these are through circuit-days. Its well worth the expense.
