Nope, been phoning daily chasing them. Still waiting on an oil cooler, told them I might be able to get one myself but they said they already had one on order and would have to pay for it so thats the one they would be using.
Also tried pestering them into searching harder but they claim to have already tried all dealer, traders, Lotus and some race outfits. Dont have time to try and track one down during the day at work but might have to if this carries on.
Kenny,
I assume you have actually spoken to Lotus themselves to find out what the deal is with sourcing new oil coolers? They must have them because they are churning out cars off the production line - so I would expect them to rob one off the production line - remember they are obliged to carry spares for your car. Talk to the MD if required, but remember be polite ... shouting gets you nowhere.
Cheers,
robin

Have you called Bell and Colville?
That would be a pretty good bench mark to check they aren't talking sh*t.

if they are so rare to come by im sure you could easily find an alternative buyer....

Be aware that the left and right side oil coolers are a different fitting. Unbelievable Lotus can't supply one of these - they are on every Elise/Exige built so there must be boxes of the things lying around at the factory. And they wonder why they have a bad reputation for customer service...

Seconded - i have used B+C for parts in the past, including the oil cooler which they supplied in 4 days. They have always been very good.

Andy do they actually know what is wrong with your car?
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

Trouble is finding the time to make phonecalls at work, bit busy at the moment. Will try chasing it up later in the week or send some emails tonight maybe.
cheers for the help though.

The bottom end is f***ed allegedly....nice, 24 hours and 50 miles before it died the car was in at MMC, with them assuring me that all that was needed was a new throttle body (at the bargain price of £900!).
Highly impressive diagnostic and problem solving you'd have to say

Tried B&C and they dont have any in stock, apparently the factory doesnt have any either.
It looks like there really arent any available anywhere and I'll have to wait for whoever supplies the oil cooler to Lotus to get some in.
I could probably track one down lying around somewhere but unless its fully packed and garaunteed the repair place probably wont fir it.
ps Cheers Ed for trying as well
