nothing worse than a tv you have to look up the way to watch, the bottom of mine is about 800mm off the floor and I considered lowering it a bit more.

Friends of ours have their TV mounted at chest height (centre's a bit lower than hung pictures).

Looks fantastic when you first walk into the living room. Looks rubbish the moment you sit down. Unwatchable IMHO - feels the same as monitoring departure times in an airport lounge.

A good rule of thumb for hanging large screen TV's is one third of the screen above eye level, two thirds below.

Mounting the them above fireplaces seems to be popular with the same type of people who think home cinema kit should be hidden from view rather than on being on display and admired... :roll: :)
