Yep still on my UK spec Gen1 Green which must be about to expire. lol It must be on e of the longest lasting (fingers crossed). And Walbro yes, standard fuel rail and pressure regulator. Precision Injected 780cc injectors if I remember correctly and plenty headroom for fuelling. I think they're only at about 80% duty. :D

If I was getting a bigger turbo I'd go for the bosch I think too. :thumbsup 500bhp would be awesome in a 6RS. Infact 450bhp would be awesome in a 6RS. :thumbsup

Cars not really been used for a year and not much in the last 2 years, time to clean her up and sell I feel. I'm slightly attached to her though with everything we have done together.

Would be a shame, something you might regret once its gone!

Ive got the option to buy a GT3071R with custom T4 manifold and intake piping for just £600, which would be good for 460bhp but not sure - its 80s technology

 Awesome video shug. That is some display of pedaling a monster. I can only imagine what one of those things would be like in the wet.

I reckon something like the new hybrid turbos would work well. I liked the S205's but I think Rog's may have blown up on the dyno recently.

I would also be tempted by a red since my green has gone so well. :thumbsup

The GT3071 would be quite late spooling would it not? I remember a mate had similar and it was spooling from about 5000rpm which is where my green was very good, coming in from 3800rpm. However the kick from the 3071 was something else. It's not an easy choice. :?

Shug - will watch that tonight as I have no sound in the office.
No doubt that the turbos worked but big advances have been made - quicker spool, less lag and making more power with what I have seen released recently.

Its got a BB core this GT3071 so it spools quite early, I think FP might be bringing out BB versions of the Green and Red early next year so could be worth the wait, the garrett GTX kits are good too - too much choice!

Yeah, twas a tongue-in-cheek response mate. I can only dream about what sort of power and drivability we'd see if we had Group C rules legal today.

The video is probably the most on-the-edge qually lap of Le Mans you'll ever see - I've not seen one better and I'm an LM anorak... They lockwired the wastegates and just went for it - the engine was being pulled out and binned after that run anyway. Conservative estimate was 1100bhp. Also proof that Mark Blundell could do more than just mangle the English language!

If that DI Blundell lap didn't have a timer on it you'd think it was sped up for effect..!

Small update - picked up the new car and it lasted a good 130miles before it cut out on the M5 leaving me to get 3 different flatbed trucks... anyways 13hours later I got home and went to bed :tired :tired
On Sunday I stripped the belt covers off and diagnosed it to be the cambelt which has stripped 5 or 6 teeth and ended up leaving bits of rubber stuck in the crank sensor, which luckily shut the engine down before the belt slipped out of time and minced the internals.

So I just had a call from Greersport Racing who collected the car yesterday, they fitted new cambelt and crank sensor and all is well! I phoned the garage I bought the car from and he is picking up the bill.

and back to the engine build - a Owens ball bearing converted FP green is on order, good for 500bhp at 1.8bar :D

Pics and spec of the car to follow :thumbsup

Pleased to hear Greersport are still going - they maintained my mate's Jun Skyline and his RS200 when it wasn't in bits. Bill still there?

Yea he's still doing the engine builds, his son is doing some good stuff right now- 700bhp Mitsubishi colt running 4wd Evo drivetrain, should weigh about 900kgs.

turbo/manifold/wastegate arrived, decided against the FP Green so I will be able run higher boost without worrying.

HKS GT3037S, from what I gather its a GT3076R in HKS clothing

Its rather large
