Got paint and have as much on me as I do on the wrap. Not sure it's going to work all that well, but we'll see. I have q fair chunk of wrap left over if it starts to fall off.

The wrap is well coated with the extra high temp paint and it is quite thin so soaked in quite well. All I need to do now is fit the damn thing...

Well it's in but no lambda, it was more then a bit stuck and when I got medieval with it the sender bit twisted off the sensor which promptly shattered.

New one ordered from flea bay for £15, we'll see if that fits...

Old one was quite a pig to get out until I split it from the flexi, then it was just plain difficult... I had to undo the lower engine mount and rock the engine until it fell out. New one just slipped in nicely, no fuss really. Could really do with 2 people though.

Now since the rebuild I have had a jingly noise while on the move... I found what it was, the fecking top alternator bolt & no sign of the nut! It was loose and rattling about! Near miss there....

The joint between the little flexi and the 4-2-1 was a pig too. Fiddly flange clamps

Hopefully the lambda will turn up on friday and then I can see if my torque is back....

Didn't get medieval enough on the Alternator nut then? Hmmm, suppose, at that stage of the game we had other worries!

That could have been me, I remember saying "you get up and drink your tea, I'll do that for a bit" just around the time we messed around with the alternator drive belt....
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

No harm done! Next time I hear a rattle I'll know where to look first... Then the crank bolt then the Camshaft bolts.....

Well it's done and my *ahem* special lambda is fitted. The special lambda is the old one with the tip removed and a piece of copper plate criped over the end and loads of exhaust paste.
Feck me does that heat wrap smoke! I had several offers of the fire brigade! Seems to be ok now. Just tidying a bit then off for a test drive!

My mate put his Corrado into a garage in Dundee to fit his new downpipe and he'd wrapped it beforehand. They actually did call the fire brigade in when it started smoking
