Does anyone have them fitted to an S2 who knows if the harness bar restricts the seat going all the way back? (Alan - tenkfeet - had them in his and the harness bar definitely got in the way of the seats but I think there may be different types of bar).
I know mine is an S1, but my seat goes all the way back.

Shouldn't be so much of an issue if the harness type seats are used I'd think?

Hmm new seats, and then a bar and harnesses. This could quickly exceed the value of the car.

Cheers Dom, does the seat back touch the rear bulkhead?

The seat back is about 5mm from the bulkhead - you can drop a few sheets of paper down the gap, but not much more.

I would give MSAR a call, the guy is really helpful and they are a Scroth supplier.

However he advised me against using a bolt on harness bar. I ended up with a wrap round harness and bar and bought the plastic grommets, for the two harness holes in the seat.

What stops it going back until it hits the bulkhead? Is it the harness bar or the seat runner?

Mine goes back until it hits the bulkhead, but then comes forward a wee bit to locate on the runner...

Ali was talking about left foot braking and I said I didn't do it in the Elise but did in other cars. I realised after talking to him that the reason I don't do it in the elise is I physically can't get my massive feet and knees to flex enough to get my left foot to the brake pedal.

This is the reason that Ali is faster than me. That and his car has harnesses. And he has more talent.

It's mainly the talent thing.

I would never use harnesses without having proper seats.
Why? Not heard of any issues with bolt-on
Was assured by Avo(? dutch elise shop guy) that they were just as safe.

just the width of the harnesses going round the seat, that makes the harnesses sit funny.

Got to be better then a seat belt thou.
