Looks the part Dave. :thumbsup

I just fixed my roof leaks with a renovo refurb kit; clean, dye & reproof. Now totally bone dry inside and the roof is properly black again. Bought it on eBay as eliseparts no longer sell it.

Kenny, have considered Campaganza, but have a meeting with a VC company in Edi on Friday, which i can't get out of, so not worth the trek up there for 1 night!
This is EXACTLY the kind of shakedown familiarisation run you should be doing, Dave.

Stop woosing about and get your booking in. Immediately.

Great choice btw

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I'll guess that's Dave's plan, Iain. Canny on the cash flow and all that...

This month's EVO feature on the family line of the Elise demonstrates what a tremendous proposition the S1 still is.

Great stuff Dave, looks like N3's twin. :D

Early model with the best wheels, does it have MMC disks?

 Not sure Tut....... Being an S plate 1998 i would have thought so?

I'll try and redeem myself and say that part of the reason i bought an S1 was that rather than polishing and driving a Lotus, i want to get to know the in's and out's technically a bit more, as i'll be honest, i only visit the technical section when i've read everything else! With my S2 i used to refer to the font that is Mr Iddon more often that not!!

I did look at her from the side and think very N3 and the front whilst armourfended has taken a pounding from something, so it is in need of some clam repair and a little respray. For just now though, I'm enjoying the back to basics experience, working the K, and to be honest, i feel totally happy just not worrying about it, what will happen will happen, and i walked away from it not even worrying about locking it!!!

A great car i'd like to keep standard, apart from the S2 billies (great ride and not a rattle, suspect to do with only having 40k on her) and the Hurricane, it could do with an Elise parts exhaust, i'm happy. Would i love a Honda in it from the power aspect... yes! Do i have the cash or inclination to do it, nope!

So, the yellow peril will hopefully provide some summer fun, and keep me focussed on the end game! :thumbsup

Since the factory have offered these as an upgrade for some time now, I think you can consider these a standard fitment...

So have you booked Clachtoll yet young man.
