video in cars :- attention gadget guys

My video camcorder is acting up, tape jam or similar is it possible to have them repaired or serviced? It's a Canon MV5i


failing that does anyone have any info on solid state recorders?

all I've found so far is Neuros Recorder 2

Actually, the Neuros looks really good!
I have been looking at this for some time and that the best so far, check out their demo files at their site.

Would need one of these as over the winter I'm planning on losing the rear glass, so was planning on using a bullet camera for the front and another one for the rear, with a toggle switch.
And another switch for when I want to start recording.
I would need to actively toggle it front and rear (for the recording, the rear view mirror would always be on rear), don't know if I would just be "too busy"

What is it meant to do? Come on, spill the beans.

And why does it need to wait until you get a real job?

Quite simply it is equiv of a 1Ghz PC. Install some ram, a 2.5 inch drive and you are up and running. (Okay bit more than that but if you have built a PC you will know what you are doing)
Add to that a video capture usb dongle for bullet cams and you can start to do some tric kwork like takign multiple feeds etc.

Needs a real job so that I can justify wasting the money on it! Got lots of plans for it, music, sat nav etc.
