Pal has no mechanical sympathy whatsoever.
Blew two engines on an astra, both through low oil.
His arguement was, what is the point in having an oil warning lamp if it only comes on once the damge has already been done. Tbh, it's a fair point, however, after blowing up one engine, you'd think he'd build in an oil level check at least once a month.
Unfortunately that's not on his to-do list, and four times now he's run his Seat ibiza dry....
Told him to check his oil.
Him - there is oil on the side, but not the center.
? What do you mean - not on the center. The center of what ?
The dipstick !
Totally dry, but the sides of the dipstick was scraping off the dried in burnt on oil of the side of the tube .....
Twice when i've driven it, i've felt the engining starting to seize up, and pulled over to put oil in it.
I can't believe that the thing still goes. I'd thoroughly recommend one though, it just seems to keep going despite his best attempts to kill it (burns oil now though)
