Wow, congratulations, lovely car indeed.

Back in the day I had an Amethyst 968 Sport, the chassis balance was quite simply spectacular. Loved that car.

Given the way the values of the air cooled stuff has gone I'm amazed that these Club Sports are still relatively very affordable. All it takes is for Evo magazine to pronounce them cool and prices could go through the stratosphere though. All the key ingredients are in place to make it an all time great.

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Cheers for comments.

Jim, I'll probably use it occasionally throughout winter, if weather is ok, taxed until Feb anyway. It has been used regularily by the previous owner throughout the year but guess I'll need to think a bit more about rust potential.

I seem to remember a white 968 CS that used to do trackdays at KH around the late 90's / early 2000's - Was it this same one?
Probably not but not absolutely sure, it was down south until very late 90's then a couple of Edinburgh service stamps before 2 non tracking owners cover the last 13 years.

Yeh, I tried to do that Sunday but the fog was too bad on the way to Strathaven so didn't bother. I did my test drive of the car on the twisty road from Kirkmuirhill to Strathaven. Will give me a good comparison doing the Muirkirk route as I've done it loads before, better remember to take it a bit easier though the 1st time. Will be interesting to see how it copes with the remaining rough twisty section, suspect it might suffer a bit more than the Elise did.

Lol, Snap shoomer !!

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
