Anyone use Pagids on their car and use it everyday?

Anything goes in here.....

I've had them on both my Lotus and they are also the longest lasting.
Brian echoes my sentiments precisely.

I have had Pagid RS4-2s since changing from Mintex 1144 many years ago. They work great on road, after "a couple of dabs" as posted earlier (the feeling of them getting better and better when out for a proper run is VERY satisfying). They hold up fine for trackdays. But they are still just FINE from cold as well, which is very important for a road car obviously.

And they DO last longer IMHO. I have only had to change my fronts a couple of times and I'm at 66k miles on the clock.

So = worth the money.

I am even thinking of installing RS4-2s on our Golf next time around. Whilst it will only ever be a road car, and the brakes are very strong, it is a heavy TDI and if you ask much of them over a few miles cross-country they do get very hot and very smelly!

Greenstuff were thought to wear the discs unduly as well, btw.

Well you do have to be going quickly first to need to brake heavily, so you should be OK :D

I did find my 1144s cooked quite quickly at KH, but then I am Mr LeadenFoot and they did come back after a short rest.

Have also been considering RS14s for my VXT. Uncertain about the road use though and apparently you are in stuck pig land for the duration unless you bed them in very carefully?

Hmm - also looks like RS42s are a possibility?

Must admit to taking a fair bit of stick when i first stuck RS42's on my 111r 3 years ago. However they have been awesome, and even my exceptionally sceptical uncle (you've too much cash if youre spending the much on f***ing break pads) was forced to admit an error.

RS42's are the ideal Pagid for the majority of us that run near standard cars, and have been awesome for me on road, and track. I've never had them fade badly on track even after 30+ laps of KH. Walshy managed to make them fade at Cadwell, but that was a SPECIAL effort  (and they were pretty much finished at that point anyway, as i nearly dodged the track day)

Having consistent brake performance on track can greatly improve confidence and lap times, and I've been a definate benefactor of this.

If you are wanting to do track days and road runs, personally making my car as safe as possible for myself and others around me is well worth the extra cash. (especially if you run 2 up on track and take people for pax's).

Also, my last set lasted nearly 12k (i'm quite easy on the brakes on the road though), and that included at least 8 trips to KH.

I've opnly had brake failure once at KH, driving someone else's car, when they failed completely....don't want to do that again (do i Tom!)

Personally I would never use anything else on my old 111r.

Do you stop in time with the current set up? Never had any time when you've considered ditching the car to make it stop?

If not then your fine with what you have.

If so then either your fluid is needing changed and/or your pads could do with being of a better friction material.

SBS are what I have and they're good on track and road and at £80 cheaper than pagids well worth it I reckon.
