I imagine Bruntingthorpe's probably a whole load more fun though. Not jealous at all (not lying, honest

am meant to be going down to Bruntingthorpe proving grounds this weekend to drive a 360 on what I think is the Top Gear track
Should be fun!
Anyone got any tips to get the best out of the 4 or 5 laps ill have in the 360?
There will be other cars there too, so could pay on the day for a go in one of them (lambo, tvr, etc) so anything i should particularly look out for?
Will be the first time id have worn my driving shoes since i crashed the elise last september!

sounds awesome young phil, have a good one, want to hear all about it when you get back

lo!
am back!
well, i had my wicked way with the ferrari!
it was 4 laps of the circuit, and ur right it wasnt top gear!
was not a bad circuit as it had some nice corners. good enuff for driving a car ur not used to on
no helmets for use - which i found weird as some people were well up over the ton and multiple cars on track.
neways.. the good bits....
1. letting loose on the throttle in 3rd out of a corner, changing up and going for it again!
boy, that engine can push that car!! it was like never ending power... and THAT SOUND!
2. going round a corner, flooring it as instructed, it stuck to the road and the power was something to feel!
the naughty bits....
1. 4 laps... not enuff imho for the money. long circuit, but could have done with more
2. all mirrors set for instructor to see, so could not see behind... kinda disconcerting!
3. instructor had hand on wheel for alot of the laps. good in that he let me floor it with him controlling the line that he knew, but bad in that it wasnt me in control.
4. being told to change up early, brake long and light, and...
instructor had told me to imagine the mother in law's head under the right pedal.. and to squeeze every last drop out of it... so i did...
up to about 7k revs and lotta power and sound!
then getting told off and to keep the revs down and to not go so fast :S
HA! but I had my wicked way with THAT engine
