Jolly good idea Andy, but I doubt if we will see one on track.

I've added my name to the database but as usual I can't say for definite that I'll be there so I've said no to the track options to keep spaces free (if there are any spaces left)

I just had a phone call from Nick Adams, Lotus, Hethel. Many of you will have met him at Tut Towers 2002, or since at the factory, and apart from being a driving force behind the new models, he is also a very good driver, and has two original Elans that he races. As you see from the below, he trys to stick to Colin Chapmans principals.

"Nick Adams, with Lotus for eighteen years, Vehicle Development Manager. Nick Adams, the man with such enthusiasm and strong opinions on what was needed for the Elise world car that he was given the opportunity to ask of each and every component. "How heavy is it? How much does it cost? How do I get rid of it?"

Nick Adams is now the Engineering Manager at Lotus Sport, the skunkworks that operates the tuning and motorsport activities at Lotus, and was in charge of the developement of the 2-11."

He was hoping to get up to KH for the June weekend, but he is also involved with Clive Chapmans Classic Team Lotus, which has a complete collection of the Lotus F1 cars, which they race around the world. As such he will be at Monza that weekend, but Clive Chapman will be at KH.

However he is going to come along to the Lotus Show at Donington in March, he did not know that we had the track on the Saturday, so he is planning to bring along a 2-11to go on track. Although it is fully booked, I am sure that Paul could find some space for him, or I could share cars with him with just one on at a time.

The cream on the cake is that although the Lotus Road Show that is coming along to KH is normally a static display, he is going to try and arrange for me to take a 2-11 on track.

Tis all in the pipeline at the moment, but knowing Nick, any chance of getting on track with a load of other Lotti and he will take it.
