In my head I hope that China, USA, Israel & Russia have planned out end of days scenarios should they detect an imminent launch. In my head their security services all talk to each other so the plans don't over lap with a kerfuffle with all their special forces queuing to land at some dock or submarines all bumping in to each other as they launch conventional weapons.

Robin reading the article about the woman who bombed the South Korean airliner before the Olympics and the brain washing going on I could imagine that those responsible for launching would do it as they could simply be brain washed that there were incoming nukes from the USA. Was that a plot from a film or did I read that about Cuba ?

Alas I fear that they are not permitted to talk too much to each other. Great news though with China effectively signalling "s'ok boys we got this one".

Do you think russia and america have already agreed on a gameplan if one of their mad allies attack ?
Ie, if one makes first strike on america, russia has secretly agree to let it go if america strikes back, and vice versa ?
Kinda like they are my mates, but only until the 90minutes, different rules if it goes to extra time ?
So they can do all their posturing and barganing etc. But if the wee guys throw a strop, they are left in the playground on their own ?

Bit like going to the pub with a loose cannon mate. Nobody wins in a nuclear war and a good night out is ruined with someone getting stabbed. I would imagine the plethora of leadership changes has shaken up the pecking orders.

NK is now China's Begby.

No, because the person doing the brain washing would still know the truth - you can have any number of arms-length proxies to do your dirty work, but if the result is a the total destruction of the planet, it kind of doesn't help you ;-)
