Yup, just live round the corner.kerryxeg wrote:Gareth, nice machine. It was probably you we saw pulling out of the road next to the new Stewart Milne flats on Sunday evening. I was in the Audi, heading home fully loaded with roof box on after a trip down to Englandshire.
Anyway I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I'm afraid a limited edition means nothing to some peeps.GregR wrote:this thread seems to be going the way of the willy wave...![]()
Nice car G, still think you're nuts swapping a limited run track spesh for a run of the mill exigeStill, you pays your money, you takes your choice.
hope you're happy with it
The Elise is a niche market.
A 135R is a niche within a niche. Too hardcore for some folk.
Yeah, being number 1 it will be worth a extra premium but not for some time yet. Maybe in another 10 years+
Don't get me wrong, I never bought the Exige to go faster or think it was faster than the R. The R is a very capable car and probably just as quick as an Exige on the right track i.e. KH
Hmm. Right now the R is not very fast at all. Radiator failed and ejected all coolant at 70+ tuts this morning. Managed to pull off the A90 into a layby quickly and killed engine, so hopefully no HGF type damage, but radiator is U/S and will need replacing. barsteward.Gareth wrote: Don't get me wrong, I never bought the Exige to go faster or think it was faster than the R. That will teach you to buy a car from someone that you met on a dodgy web forum, that had a friend of a friend with a one off special
Bit of a bummer though right after you bought it, though not in Craigs class yet. He buys Andys impeccably looked after 13K miles VHPD engine, HGF on its first run out, followed by clutch failure, and last Friday the alternator burnt out.

I'm sure G. wouldn't have chanced a run down from Aberdeen if he thought the rad was about to pop. It's just one of those things ... turns out that I should be able to get it fixed under the balance of the warranty and also that I have a spare radiator should I need to repair it myself - so either way should be OK ...tut wrote:Pretty sure that Robin knows that you had no idea that it was imminent.
