I fitted mine today. - seems to work really well! - pretty expensive for just a few bolts and clips, but sooooo easy to put the panel on and off now.

recomended.

P.S. - if you want to see it - i;m south side glasgow.
How long did it take to fit - I've got the pretty expensive bag of bolts sitting ready to go?

DrAl,

a bit of a thread drift, but, I'm sure you have said somewhere that you changed the wiper relay on your car to a VW(?) part? If you did what part was it, and has it been a success?

...from SELOC.

Not tried it myself, so can't say if it works.

:D Nice one, my washer bottles been empty for weeks now as I haven't got round to checking the owners manual to find out where it was :) (thought it was in the front).

Craigs135s -
I'm in Thornliebank - near jn2 of the M77. - give me a shout if you want to see the kit!

RDH -
It's a ridiculous amount of money for a few wee bolts and plastic washers, isn't it!
it took me 5-10mins to fit it - easy as pish - just take care of the clam removing the old clips - an allen key does the job real easy!

The relay works an absolute peach!
My advice is head to a scrappy and search for the "99" relay out of a Mk3 Golf (or any similarly aged (early to mid 90s) VW. - the list of cars which run the relay is extensive, but the "99" one is only in the higher up the range cars. - I found mine in the 3rd golf i looked in. - it just takes 2 secs to look in the golf, though. - pop off the cover from the relay box (under the steering wheel) and have a look.

I used Govan Motors in Ibrox - bunch of pirates, but they've got plenty of cars!

While you're at it, get yourself a Matiz rear view mirror (if you've got an S1 or early S2) - have a look in the SELOC wiki under "smaller rear view mirror" - you'd not believe the difference that makes!

I was in the scrappies on Wed, and have secured 2 spare relays, so if anyone wants one let me know.
There seemed to be two types of '99' relays, one is about half the length of the ones I took, not sure if it would work or what the difference is.

I also got a spray bar from a Pug 405 which I'll try and get round to fitting at the weekend, I might have a spare one of these also.

I'll check out if there are any Matiz's next time I pass.

:thumbsup
