There might be another track night on next Thursday as well if we have enough names; this weeks reserves will have first chance. Mainsy, best call/email Lesley again and let her know if you're interested for then.

New track Insurers and T&C's means we can run things a bit more to our liking than before. :thumbsup

Forecast is for heavy rain and gale force winds.......that kills my desire to pop by!

Looks like it will be windy but no rain on the Met office website http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ ... ather.html :)

Fingers crossed, but I will be taking a few layers!

Check your routes for getting to Kames. :(
From South Lanarkshire temporary road closure site:
B743

Muirkirk Road
- will be closed from Tuesday 5 May to Friday 8 May 2009 between Glengavel House and Powbrone Bridge for resurfacing.

I believe the diversion is a major jaunt through the countryside.

Never heard back from Lesley about this :( but as luck would have it, I can't make it down to Kames tonight anyway.

Hope the weather is good for those who are going :thumbsup

Thanks for that :thumbsup I was going to go down the M74 route and cut in along the A70 anyway, but was going to go back via Strathaven. Will have to back the same route I guess. Cheers for the heads-up!

That was fun :D The rain stayed away, even if it was a bit cold and windy. Even had a bit of sunshine earlier on as Heather said 8)

Track was dry and grippy and I think I'm enjoying clockwise more again now. Was good to have a natter with Woody, Gizmo, Digital, Kayfur and Point n Squirt. Also nice to meet FD for the first time and put a face to a name.

Really enjoyed that wee run back along the A70 with Mr.Gizmo :thumbsup :drive Shame about the hailstones that started when we got on the M74 though!!

I really do like Kames for good fun and value for money and it still teaches me a lot about the car. Looking forward to the next one.

Nice to see a few people from here down at Kames tonight :) Enjoyed being back for the first time since my off, the car was going well tonight and handling just how I like it with a small amount of oversteer at the hairpin.

I think we got very lucky with the weather, despite the cold wind at least it was dry - the torrential hailstorms I drove through on the way back were fun  Kevin, hope I wasn't holding you up to much on the way back, wasn't enjoying the twilight lack of visibility and damp roads!

I should have a small amount of video footage (including Woody's laps in my car!) so hopefully get a chance to upload that tomorrow.

Will upload my pics tomorrow if they are any good. Looking forward to the next one :thumbsup
