Evening all. And hello Kevin. I was looking at a GTR at the Nissan dealer in Cambridge just the other week.

I like these old times threads although it does make me feel old. My daughter was born on the 29/9/98 and I picked up my first Elise on the 7/10/98. I met Del at MMC the day I paid my deposit 14 months previously after driving my first Elise at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground earlier that year. Lawrence must have had one of the first cars I'd have thought.

Sadly for me I never managed a Stelvio which was a pity.

I am however just back from a week in France. Gorges du Tarn for a few days. Then down through the Cevennes mountains to Montpellier and Nimes (drove past Circuit de Ledanon - didn't pop in though). Some great roads just a pity I wasn't in the Elise. The road south from Mende to Saint Enimie then on south down the Gorges Du Tarn to Meyrueis and over the Cevennes towards Mont Aigoual and then onto Montpellier was stunning and empty - hardly saw another car. Actually I might resurrect the old trip report for old times sake.

My first Elise was P124 OSF and was in the yellow but with a black roof and the headlamp covers!

At first glance I thought it was mine!

Me too, my reg is P123 OSF although the yellow threw me...haha! After seeing this I wondered if anyone on SE had owned my car before me! When i bought my car i got all the information from the first owner so thought i would have a look to see if i maybe recognised the name from someone on this forum. Didnt recognise the name but did find a club lotus sticker in between all the documents i have from when it was bought.

What I would say is leave the kids behind - they're not interested!

I did 2002 but was the only S_E'r on it. I did not go on 2003, can not remember if you did, but 2004 was mostly you, I and John.

Skye and I did Stelvio in 2005. She loved the trip. Camping, swimming, snowball fights, climbing and tobogganing to name but a few things we enjoyed, not forgetting to annoy Swiss drivers, which was dead easy.



My Elise was one of the first S2s in Scottish Elises and I was on many runs where I was the only person driving an S2.




I do remember Robin having an S2 as he showed me how they should be driven when I first met him at Crail
