It's so long since I used them that I cannot be sure, but I would suspect they will be perfectly good for road use.

For track use I suspect you'll get away with them if you stick to road tyres, though they're bound to fade sooner than the RS42 or RS14 compounds.

Cheers,

I've come to the conclusion that you need to run the right pads for the main use of the car and the tyres you have fitted. The std pads are a perfectly fine road pad and okish on track on normal road tyres. If I was doing the miles on road and the odd trackday I'd stick to std pads. Running race spec pads compromises the brakes for the road too much. I've also have a set of these:

Direct replacement for the OEM pad. Very good on road. None of that rattly annoyance you get with just about every other non-oem pad. No screeching either. Again ok on track but like the OEM pad tends to suffer from pad fade a bit although it depends on the track and the tyres. They would have struggled at Zolder I reckon but would have been fine at Spa.

I fitted the CL RC5+ for SPAZZ (and specifically for Zolder as I figured it would be tough on the brakes) and while they offer great stopping power and don't suffer from fade they are pretty dead from a feel point of view as Robin noticed too when he drove my car. That said, they are a good match for the AD08r tyres as I could pretty much stand the car on its nose without the ABS coming in even if I couldn't quite feel what was going on so easy enough in the dry but I suspect I might have struggled a bit to judge the braking effort in the wet. I also think RS42s are a bit dead in the feel dept as a road pad and to a lesser extent as a track pad. Performance Friction next for me I think.

I reckon you adjust quite quickly to whatever you have on your car and only really notice a difference when you have access to a few cars that use different pads and can do back to back comparisons.
