Re: New car at last! :) Understeer!!!!
Check SELOC techwiki for geo settings, they have the std and motorsport settings on there, I'm using the 340R settings on my Elise... Hope you get it sorted soon mate! I'm not a fan of adjustable suspension from the point of view that I know jack about setting a car u and Lotus know lots so I'm happy to use what they design so I run S2 LSS on mine athough I feel they are maybe a tad softly sprung for the track but a great allround set up, height adjustable only.

Was just looking up info on Seloc Mark. You running road or track 340R settings? What are others running?mwmackenzie wrote:Check SELOC techwiki for geo settings, they have the std and motorsport settings on there, I'm using the 340R settings on my Elise... Re: New car at last! :) Understeer!!!!
Mike,
I have all the gear for measuring camber and toe at my place (pre measured/cut poles and string that attach to the car), its a piece of piss to do, so your welcome to fire round sometime and see what you have as a base measurement. Its relatively easy to alter it aswell, if you can be arsed
We really need to see where the car is just now before we go changing anything. It may be geo, it may be dampers, or it may be driver. I wouldnt discount anything at the moment, but its best to start with geo as its free, then driver as its also free (although can be more difficult to adjust than the geo
) then dampers as a last resort.
I do think you need to try it on a dry track too. My old S1 on standard dampers was oversteery when dry, understeery when wet. My S2 on LSS is the opposite. No idea why.
happy to help matey, let me know.

Re: New car at last! :) Understeer!!!!
Just to add, its pretty neutral in the dry, well on road anyway.mckeann wrote:

Re: New car at last! :) Understeer!!!!
I dont think you can compare road and track. My S2 is very neutral on road, but does understeer on a dry track. Not as bad as it was mind, and hopefully an upcoming change of dampers will sort it completly. I just dont think you can go mental enough on the road to get the same problems.

thats different from turning in, getting sideways THEN stomping on the throttle. That'll cause oversteer

Will second Andy. Although perhaps take details of the "standard" settings you want, Willie will set it up just as you tell him. Or as you don't
Although I guess he has "std" Lotus settings in his books as he does all of MMC's setups.
