It is good value for 20 quid I suppose but I cant understand why , being one of the prime PS games the full game hasnt been released earlier . Did they start developing it as soon as the PS3 was released or what ?

I dont know much about software/game development but personally I think they should have just got their heads down arses up and got the full game to us for summer 2008.

Someone told me there is bikes in the full game  garbage ?

they were ready to release granturismo hd when the ps3 was released, but they hadn't fully realised the potential of the storage space on the bluray discs. so they made that a free downloadable demo. i read that the main hold up was that they got the idea to make the cockpit view look like the inside of the real cars. which in prologue do look awesome. so when it does get released it will have been tweaked to hell, and will have even more cars on it   8)

GTHD was built on the GT4 engine, with HD visuals (hence the name) GT5 is new, pretty much from the ground up. Physics are much better implemented. You only need to drive a lap of the Eiger in GTHD then follow it up with a lap in the same car in GT5 to feel the difference. GTHD was only made as a tech showcase and to generate buzz (a Playstation console without GT? Unthinkable!)

GT has always suffered delays. Polyphony can be accused of perhaps taking it too far with the perfectionist route. All the real life tracks are GPS accurate to the metre and textures are all from photos taken at the site. Every car is photographed and sampled from a real example of the car - in stupid amounts of detail. The sheer legwork involved in getting the hundreds of cars into the final game is what holds it up - as we can see, the game engine itself is pretty much there. Not a huge amount changed between GT4 Prologue and the full-on GT4.

Prologue is a masterful piece of marketing, keeps the buzz going long enough to cover the inevitable delays in production of the full game. Worked brilliantly with GT4 and given that the GT5 Prologue has much more content, I'm pretty happy waiting 8)

My view is that its an ok game, but not addictive, like COD4 is. The novelty has virtually worn of already with it, but i am still going strong with COD4 after a month

Prologue is like the mother of all Betas, great idea for them and an appetizer for us.

Downloaded it last night... awesome. Now, how can I get a G25 set up in the living room without the Mrs noticing... :?:

I remember reading somewhere we're not getting it till the end of the month... We're also not getting any updates to the store due to the store redesign :(
