I never made it to the morning.

I remember something similar happening the last time as well? But that was maybe the drink.

FFS, there's an image I really needed just when I was about to have my soup!

Could do with the name of this place so I can avoid it!

Well played with the cycling, if I get myself a bicycle I may join you at some point.

Bumparama for update.

Target for Christmas was to be under 14 stone however have managed to lose 1 stone 1 pound in four weeks down to 13 stone 4 pounds. Quite surprised because 3 weeks ago I fell off my mountain bike at carron valley breaking a few ribs suffering a wee bit of concussion and removing a significant amount of of skin so quite pleased. I may be the only person in Scotland to lose weight over the festive period.

Also try not to break ribs. Really hurts.

Nice one Kenny. :thumbsup

My weight still seems to be going in the other direction but I'm not too concerned as 5K & 10min times coming down and bench press etc going up. :)

Awesome effort Kenny, you've done the hardest bit of breaking habits and seeing through til the results become evident!

Ali - you done measurements? Sounds like your body composition is changing so while weight remains static or goes up body fat percentage is going down due to increased muscle from the weights! You doing full body workouts and not just chest and biceps I hope!

Yep, full programme Chris. No tape or % measurements as such but visible and running time improvements. :thumbsup

I thought the programme might make me lighter but it's not working out like that. As the goals are being hit I'm not too worried about extra weight so long as it's not fat! Fitness testing in January should hopefully show an improvement.

Might be a useful thing to consider Kenny, from here losses on the scales will be harder to maintain and with more exercise composition changes are more important than pure weight. :thumbsup

I think the weight lost so far has been on the scales only, I dont think visually I look much different, still a fat git. Been told to expect a plateau, however I am quite looking forward to that point as it might be the stage where I dont lose any weight but tone up and lose the beer muscle.

Thanks again everyone for encouragement and support..

Well done so far Kenny, I need to follow your example. Some how over Christmas I agreed to and subsequently signed up for a Half Triathlon. Yes, really, don't laugh. Anyone who knows me knows I'm not very fit at all. I've been needing to get fit again and after my better half has been swimming lots we agreed to sign up together. I currently top 19 stone so have a bit of work to do. 6 months to sort it out....how hard can it be!

My wife has signed up for the Rock/Roll half marathon for April (no it's not music, bacon butties and chocolates unfortunately).

Any good training tips would be welcome or potential training running partners in the West Lothian area :)
