Still, good fun was had :)

WHAT HE SAID big style

Perhaps, for a laugh, we should prepare some pit boards next time out.

The folk that aren't driving could hold them out to the cars holding us up. Five boards spaced out should do it

It was nice to finally break my KH cherry but I wasnt really impressed with the HM night at Knockhill. Some very nice cars but a lot of stripped out hot hatch type racers and some proper racing cars, which caused a little mayhem at times  .

Still it was a good night, the car held up very well apart from some abs problems which are common under heavy braking in the vxs, might need to disable the abs and replace the mintex pads with the padgids for the next track day. I also spent more time letting everyone else past than i should have  need to build up some track experience. Even got to the stage were Ddtb was giving me instruction

That's always going to be a problem with a HM event so the Friday before a race meet.

Jesus mate - times must have been hard

Good man for getting out there though - letting people through is something you invariably do more of on your first outing, but good on you for doing it, as it sounds like some people with way more experience didn't have the courtesy to follow suit.

Come along to an SIDC day next. They are very well managed and the driving standards of the drivers that attend are normally A1. They are also used to wee plastic cars going past them :D

Gareth, yes, it was me in Exige, I turned off past Stonehaven to head to Drumoak via Netherley. Eyes still hurting having followed you for a bit, that thing seems to glow in the dark. Suits it though.

Seen quite a few tabbarded snappers dotted around the circuit - wonder where the other photos are?

What cars did you think weren't up to standard? Everycar seemed ok to me.... not quite up to the '10k' budget but not sh*t. I think its more to do with driving standards anyway. Folk have mentioned the two cossies for not moving over. Thats not the car, thats the driver.

Overall i thought it was a good night, just a tad too busy.

My car is a stripped out trackcar..... dont see any reason why it shouldn't be there. Its what i've bought/built it for.

Corsa?

Have to say that the driving standards weren't bad - there just wasn't any consideration for others. The BMW that thought he was quicker because he could go up the straights faster, when I did get past him I pull away the distance of the straight in one lap.

Education is the way forward, and it would be nice if they could include something along those lines during the brief.

Nice to be part of the new breakaway " we love Gareth club" for two hours.
The photos do not do the colour any justice.
Gareth caused a few hearts to flutter last night.............

His own - at the hairpin!

The Fife Cosworth Chav contingent

and for political incorrectness, not forgetting usual homosexual suspects!!

Apart from the newly formed "We love Gareth" contingent.....the driving standards were pretty dire

Blue BMW M5
Red Subaru WRX
Silver Sierra Cosworth
and not forgetting " Blue GT3" who sh*t himself at every corner

All guilty of not looking in mirrors and believing that they are genuinely driving with consideration for others
Like most Lotus/Caterhams ....my little S1 has to work hard on the straights but will will trounce the heavier cars on the corners

I know when we come up against this time and time again ...but these guys need to be told (John at SIDC style) let the lighter cars through and you will not see them again!

When there are only two hours in a session , it gets a tad frustrating to have to drive through the pits to get some clear space.

Hope the east coast remained dry fro those travelling north last night

Paul G and I were wading through flash floods (water over the clam) going between Auchterarder and Crieff

Hi folks,

I enjoyed the night and the weather was great

Sorry to any of you guys out there who were getting held up by me ..... my tyres were near goosed and i am still new to this track lark 8)

Personally, I thought some of the cars should not have been there. I would certainly throw caution to the wind if I was there in a car worth no more than a couple of grand. That is why there are Speed Sundays...... Oh My God..... I am turning into a grumpy old man!

Anyway, please do come and say hello next time peeps, wanna start putting names to faces.

cheers

Bob.

There was a corsa on track??? I didnt see it :/

If you're asking me if it was my corsa, no... Skyline GTR with a blue tint following it LOL

Bobnitro - Was it you i was chatting with beside the Rage buggies?

What was the red WRX doing? I saw her in the briefing, but not out on track. Fiona is raging at the cossie guy for not letting her past for 2 whole laps till a red flag ended the session.

Why dont they use the blue flags they say are 'active' in the briefing
