Engine Cover Release Cable

Post by cat » Tue Mar 17, 2009 11:33 pm

The engine cover release on my Exige is stiffer to operate than I would expect, certainly not nice and smooth. As I'm just getting to know my car a bit better I was wondering if this was a TADTS or a wee job I should look at?

Has anyone tried one of these http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp? ... ostSubcat=

For the money, it looks like a good investment if it saves snapping release cables - would be good for accelerators as well.

Try PM'ing Kev (T6 KFR - http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/mem ... ile&u=5744) or do a search through his posts.

He just had his S2 into MMC for a similar thing. Think his eventually seized up completely. Didn't really listen when they were telling him how they sorted it though...

Maybe he can shed some light on the fix?

:thumbsup
