Yes, im actually posting in the technical section.
I lost one of the clips that holds the gearchange cable in place on the way home from picking up the car.
Am i right in saying this:
http://www.bell-colvill.co.uk/LotusShop ... A111F6018F is the correct replacement?!
Also considering buying these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRANSFORM-THE-GEA ... 1e58ef5706
rather than the more expensive eliseparts equivalent.
Is the above worth it?!
thanks in advance cheers Ed

I fitted the Eliseparts bushes the other week and they made a BIG difference

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

I might have one of the old parts from my std linkage. One or two bits went awol when Robin and I changed it, but if I can find the ones I kept you are welcome to any of it!
Just need to rake it out. Let me know if you are still on the hunt and I will have a proper look. Garage tends to be a no-go area right now...

I don't think there is more than one type of clip for the elise gearchange, so those ought to be correct.
The bushes are the bit that makes the difference, assuming the rest of it isn't worn out. Dismantle, clean and lube the linkage, replace the bushes for the nylon ones and the linkage will be like new
BTW, check the alignment of the bell crank plate - it can be bent which makes the mechanism less efficient and then makes the stick feel more "mushy".
Cheers,
Robin

Robin
This makes all the difference , you have to retighten the bell crank bolt to remove the slop but not too tight or it will be too stiff
and cable tie the clips in when its done

Get me a couple of those will you? I think you need the 2-part bell crank bush.
