Hoffmans C.V Boot Kit

Post by Gourlay83 » Tue Mar 23, 2010 8:45 pm

I am loosing a fair bit of grease from both my C.V boots so thought I would put some good quality grease and prepare them properly for Saturdays trackday. Phonned Hoffmans as heard good things about there kit. They couldn't have been more helpfull, ordered kit on 3.00pm and arrived lunch time today. The guy even explained on what or what not to do.

Not too much to the kit and the grease is fecking expensive but nice to deal with someone helpfull for a change. Probably post some pics up for the Honda Brigade (all 4 of us).

That's strange.

When I called up about some CV boots and grease I was asked to email Duncan confirming what I wanted. 4 weeks later I got a call back from someone else (not Duncan) saying he'd had my email forwarded to him and wanted to take payment details for the stuff. I said it was a bit late and I haven't used them since.

It is possible to get what you need from elsewhere and cheaper.

Can only comment on my experiences Dan,

Like i said, not much to the kit but very helpfull. Gators were only £15 each with the breather clips.

I'd be intrested to see what they look like too
I know Craig put VW Polo Tdi CV boots on the S/C car to cure the problem and the Pheonix on seems fine in the 15,000 miles I've been running it ~

by the way the last time I asked the Local Honda dealer about honda grease for CV they gave me 4 sachets/tubes FOC ~have loads of it for some reason
