So, I went & got a price for our 2.5v6 (190bhp) MG ZT+ from webuyanycar. £2925 was the verdict.
However, I've just placed an order this afternoon for a new car & have agreed a better price for trade-in. Anyway, the replacement is going to take about 5-6 weeks to arrive... so, I thought I'd see if anyone on SE was fancying a low mileage, cheap comfy barge, before it goes in to the dealer (who are probably just going to send it to auction).
£3,500 buys it. I can't be ar$ed advertising it for a private sale on PH... I've got a deal done with the garage, so it's just up here on SE in case anyone is on the hunt for something like this.
The details.... Reg'd Nov 2004 (so will be put back to it's '54' plate over the next couple of weeks). I personally think it looks a lot newer than a 2004 car, so it's prime for a private plate if you ask me.
First registered to Reg Vardy (as a demo I guess), then bought by a doctor.... then I bought it, so 2 previous owners.
Just hit 39,500 on the odometer... and all the receipts point to the fact that the doctor guy hardly used it.
Being the '+' model, it comes with dual zone climate control & electric windows front & rear (non plus has manual rears) & lip spoiler. Also comes with the v8 ZT260 alloys (I've actually got a spare one, with no tyre in the garage that I'll bung in the boot if you want).
Comes with Kenwood 6CD boot changer... and I'll keep my Kenwood CD/MP3 head unit (with front Aux port) in there which is operated via the proper steering wheel controls (if it gets traded in, I'm taking the MP3 unit out & putting the original tape thing in).
Car has just recently had a new exhaust (back box) as the hangers failed on the old one. This was replaced with a Stainless powerflow job (as it was less than farmers were quoting for a mild steel). Gives a nice note to the V6... but not loud in anyway.
I had the thermostat housing replaced under AA P&L last year, as they are plastic & known to fail over time (it was losing coolant through a crack in the housing). Also had 2 new budget rear tyres fitted not long ago, so plenty tread left on them. Front still have some life on them... they are bridgestones so take ages to wear down.

Bad points... the car only has 3 stamps in the service book. Probably due to the fact that the previous owner was doing hardly any mileage in it so thought it wasn't worth servicing annually. It has been serviced to the mileage though (every 15K).
The bonnet had some flaky paint, so has had a very quick DIY coat of paint (proper colour match though)... which has left a little bit of a ridge were it's been masked off before attempting to blend in. I've tried to capture it in the following 2 photo's but it's not really something the camera is picking up well. It's on the right hand side of the bonnet as you look from the front:

So there you go... not aware of any issues that are hiding, but sold as seen... so take out AA P&L if you are interested (that's what I've done anyway)

Andy.
