elise touring pack?

Post by makeminealargeone » Fri Aug 26, 2011 8:26 pm

can anybody tell me exactly what the elise "touring pack" consists of? just bought a 111r 2004 model, I've been told it has the touring pack, but there is a chance I'm being fed a dose of sh*t!! :?

Think most models around that time seems to have the Touring pack which is Leather seats, additional sound insulation, auxillary driving lights in front grill, an interior stowage net, carpeting (along sills), insulated ie double layer soft top and possibly the dab, single CD & MP3 radio is part of the package.

a/c was not part of touring pack - with an elise, you just take the roof off (thats the whole idea !).

Air-con wasn't included in any of the packs , it was a separate option.
Congrats on the purchase.

Only item to add to the above is: "extra leather trim on the doors".

As others have mentioned, aircon is not part of the touring pack. Mine does have the (optional extra) aircon but TBH I'd rather it didn't – seems redundant on an targa-top car, although I'm told it's very effective for window demisting during the winter.

Had a look and a shot of Paul's 111R (Polar blue I think) last night and it's a wee cracker. I quite enjoyed the quietness of the standard car opposed to the tinnitus inducing scream of my car with the ITG induction and Larini :)

I hope you're wearing earplugs mate as I've recorded 92dB at a cruise inside Elaine's (roof on) with just a stage 2. That's permanently damaging your hearing - not something to be taken lightly. I make sure she's wearing them any time she's in the car for more than 10 minutes...

I really should , I have some earplugs but haven't tried them in the car yet . The tinnitus started a few months back and my hearing got pretty bad for a few weeks, it turned out to be an ear infection and got better once the penicillin kicked in. I'm still getting some ringing in the ears after being out in the car or on the bike though.
Tempted to put the standard airbox and exhaust on the car for a bit but it has the Hangar111 GT5700 reflash which is optomised for induction and exhaust mods so don't think that would be a good idea .
