what do we reckon? If I can pick up these bad boys for sub £100 it'll be a good deal, but will they fit the humble Greg-mobile?

He's talking out of his ar$ehole when he says that's off a 190. 190's have a 4-2-1 (Janspeed, I think) That's a bog standard mild steel clagged up piece of shyte....

well I've popped the question, so I'll see what he says.

When all's said and done, if that would fit my car and I could get for much cheapness, Doesn't seem like too bad a deal ...

Yeah - if you get it cheap then it's all cool (although you don't actually need the top section, it's always worth having a spare)

Don't like people misadvertising though....

h'okay, I've got my stoopid head on today, but I thought I'd need an S2 exhaust manifold to fit the S2 flexi? I presumed they'd changed the fittings or summit.

I'll see if I can get the lot for £60 and see where that gets me :)

Ah so - yeah, the S2 bit threw me... Not 100% sure about that, but better to get both and be safe.

Also still sure they couldn't get 190bhp out of that, so the advert is false...

wesponse weceived:-

"It is mild steel and it definately came of a S2 sport 190"

My understanding was that the S2 Sport 190 was a pretty limited edition jobbie. Begs the question what he's doing removing the manifold et al

It may have come of a 190, but it might not be an original 190 bit :o

Is the flexi and the routine from the manifold the same on an S1 as S2?

Not if his original K series went bang. Not of course that a 190brake K series variant is likely to do that  . Maybe his H is SC, in which case fair play!

There's a little more to it than that... Lots more torque and better gearbox make it a lot quicker - plus a standard unopened engine, not a highly strung race engine.

That said - the 190 could NOT have had a mild steel standard zorst. At worst it was a Janspeed 4-2-1. To make the power (which the S2s did, by all accounts) I don't know how the standard zorst could have coped.

If he took it off a S2 190 car, he's already sold the 190 exhaust manifold... Or has bought a dud of a car....
