If you don't plan to do a lot of miles in the Elise (say you can restrict yourself to 6,000-8,000 per year) then well worth calling around the CCI/Richard Egar/Adrian Flux type places and seeing what they can do for the Elise - they often put them on specialist/classic policies.
NCD is mostly a con IMHO
For amusement I put Katie & myself into the Meerkat insuring our bus with perfect driving history (i.e. no claims in last 5 years, no convinctions, licenses held forever, etc. - all true).
I then altered the NCD from 1 year to 3 years to 6 years and finally to 0 years with proof of having been a named driver for one year (most people have at least this when considering a second vehicle).
I chose the cheapest 7 insurers at the 3 year mark and then checked their prices at the other three.

On average there is no useful NCD over the first three years.
Out at six years you get a whopping 10-16% discount, though slightly better discount is available from the slightly more expensive insurers; this reflects the fact that they are buying business at the safe end of the spectrum. You would be better switching policies each year, clearly.
One very notable result - KwikFit have a negative discount during the first three years - you would be better off buying into them claiming to have no NCD each year!
Of course none of these insurers would insure the elise, but it shows that claims of 70% NCD are utter bollocks.
Cheers,
