Always had great service from macgegor and Macduff on bath street. They made my tweed jacket for my wedding and been really pleased with it.

I am awaiting mine being made by Houstons in Paisley http://www.kiltmakers.com/ - Gone for a made to measure Tweed with matching waistcoat, quite pricey but they know thier stuff, to be fair its still a fraction of what the other half's dress is costing

I got my tweed jacket from Slaters and am happy with it, you can even customise the buttons, lapels, cuffs etc. It was fairly reasonably priced too!

Slightly more on topic, I got mine from a place on the Royal Mile, but seem to recall one of the partners effed off abroad with all their money :|

I got mine in West Lothian: http://www.macdonaldkiltmakers.co.uk/ it's not the cheapest but the quality was excellent, apparently this is where the Royal Family buy their kilts, not that it should make any difference but this is what I was told!

Yep, mines 21 years old too and straining at the last buckle hole. Must look up these extender things. You know what it's like, you will only remember that as you get it out the wardrobe for a wedding or something that day, you haven't done anything about it...again!

For the OP, I got mine from McNaughtons in Pitlochry who were good back then but plenty more places opened up in towns since I bought.
