N3 twin

Post by tut » Sat Jun 14, 2014 2:24 pm

Was just up at Craig's to pick up the plastic rear screen from Ali for Spazz, and a young lad rolled up in what was almost the twin of N3 apart from the engine which is a 118hp K.

I thought that I had met him before, turns out that he was at school with Ian and I had taken him out for a spin when he was ten in N1. Since then he has wanted an Elise and bought one a couple of weeks ago, and will be joining on here shortly and posting a couple of pics up. Took him out for a run and he then started asking questions about Honda conversions, but convinced him to get miles in on his car before he even looked in that direction.

However he is going to paint the rear section black, and as he has a long tailed roof he would like to replace the roll bar cover with the later S2 one so that he can paint that black as well, and fit a short roof. I believe Robin did the same so will try and find out where he bought the cover from.

Is he the mysterious S1 owner then?

Steve.

Thanks for the advice tut. I will stick to the standard car for probably a while yet. The only changes i plan on making is the addition of the d cat pipe and perhaps the long life filter.

What was the filter that you recommended called? Just so i can get it ordered.

Thanks
