Cannot believe the clever people at Lotus used a completely ridiculous window adjustment system. I needed to adjust mine and realised it was ceased with rust on the adjuster. Could not budge it at all. In the end I had to remove the window seal, window, winder mechanism in order to remove the window guides to get at the adjusters. I will now replace them with new ones. But WHAT A LOT OF WORK just to adjust a flippin window.
And dont get me started on the price of a new window door seal. Why do they have steel in there to rust anyway?
I'm doing a lot of work on the Elise before it goes back on the road and it strikes me that although there is very little steel in the car, the bits that are there have been completely neglected in terms of rust protection.
Whew, lets hope reassembly is better than disassembly
