5 month old Elise sounds like 20 year old Transit

I'm at the stage where I'm embarrassed to drive my new Elise around and my wife now refuses to drive it as it sounds like a hunk of junk.
I had the 'Performance Pack' upgrade fitted at MMC before delivery which included the air box and back box mods. 5 months and 4k miles later and the back box is falling apart. I've spoken to Craig, it's in hand and hopefully being replaced at the start of next week. He did mention that this isn't the first time this has happened to a stage 1 upgrade BB and Janspeed have been contacted previously.
Has anyone else on here had similar issues? Did the replacement hold together?

Can only assume it's worse now 'cos it's twice as loud and rattley
